Take Sofa Delivery Measurements Before Approving the Largest Module

A wide front door does not guarantee that a sofa can reach the living room. The difficult point may be the turn immediately behind it, the lift entrance or a stair landing upstairs. Take sofa delivery measurements along the complete route, and compare them with the largest indivisible transport piece in the condition in which it will be moved. The assembled sofa dimensions are only the beginning of that check.

For an apartment buyer or a contractor receiving furniture for a villa, HEZEN CASA's modular, curved and side-storage sofas present different access questions. Before committing to a configuration, obtain the relevant component dimensions, packed dimensions and confirmed handling arrangement. Do not assume that arms, bases or side elements come off simply because removal would make the delivery easier.

Separate three sets of sofa delivery measurements

The first set describes the assembled sofa in the room. The second describes the pieces that can legitimately be separated for transport or installation. The third describes those pieces with the packaging and protection that will be present at each stage of the route. Keep the three sets distinct.

A drawing might show a sectional that is 280 cm wide, while delivery involves several smaller pieces. Conversely, a compact-looking curved sofa could contain a substantial indivisible section. Neither possibility should be assumed without product-specific information. Ask for the actual breakdown and label each piece so its measurements can be followed through the route review.

The minimalist linen sectional's footprint is not its package size

The Minimalist Linen Fabric Modular Sectional Sofa is listed at 280 × 160 × 75 cm. Those are the published overall dimensions of the listed arrangement. They do not establish the length, depth or height of its largest transport piece.

For a restricted apartment entrance, request the confirmed dimensions of each supplied section, including any part that projects beyond the main upholstery. Ask which dimensions apply with the intended transport protection in place. If the proposed route relies on removing a part, have that removal confirmed for this design and include the required reassembly arrangements.

Do not subtract an estimated leg height from the 75 cm overall figure. The legs may not be removable in the way assumed, and another part may determine the resulting height. A direct dimension of the permitted transport condition is more useful than an optimistic calculation.

Walk the sofa route in the order the furniture will travel

Begin where the furniture will actually be unloaded, then follow the route to its final position. Photograph each change of direction and label it on a simple sketch. Record clear openings rather than nominal door sizes, including any door leaf or fixed obstruction that reduces the usable opening.

At a turn, the space before and after the doorway matters as well as the doorway itself. A long item may pass through an opening when held straight but have no room to rotate once inside. Height can also become critical when an item must be tilted. A single diagonal measurement is not a general proof that a three-dimensional object can make every manoeuvre.

Room & Board's delivery-measuring guidance provides general context for checking doors, stairs and lifts. Its furniture specifications and delivery services are its own. A HEZEN access decision needs the actual ordered pieces and a review of the destination route.

Check the tufted modular sofa at the narrowest turn

The Camel Suede and Black Leather Tufted Modular Sofa is listed at 300 × 180 × 85 cm. For this arrangement, identify the component that creates the most difficult combination of length, depth and height. It is not necessarily the piece with the greatest length alone.

Imagine a villa entrance that opens into a short hall with a right-angle turn. The purchasing team should send the receiving contractor both the route dimensions and the confirmed component information. A photograph of the open entrance without the opposite wall can conceal the very constraint that decides whether the delivery is practical.

If the review identifies a tight manoeuvre, resolve it before shipment. Do not plan to compress the tufted upholstery, drag the component around a corner or remove structural parts on arrival. Those actions are not substitutes for a suitable handling plan and can put the furniture or building finishes at risk.

An upstairs lounge introduces a different constraint for the same tufted arrangement. The stair may be wide enough along a straight flight while the landing lacks room for the longest component to turn. Photograph the landing from both approaches and include the overhead space. If a ceiling slopes above the turn, a simple floor-plan width leaves out part of the problem.

The linen sectional deserves the same review even though its assembled footprint is smaller. Compare the confirmed transport pieces, not the two overall widths, before concluding that the linen design is easier to deliver. A purchasing coordinator may discover that one specific corner section governs the route while the remaining pieces are straightforward. Identifying that component early allows a focused discussion about a suitable offered configuration, rather than changing the whole furniture selection on the basis of a vague concern about “a large sofa.”

A lift review must include the doorway and the turn outside it

Record the lift entrance, internal dimensions and the usable space in the lobby. The furniture has to enter, fit inside and leave at the destination floor. An item that seems to fit within the cabin on paper may not be able to rotate through the entrance from the available lobby space.

Confirm the building's permitted delivery arrangements with the responsible team, including any relevant load limits, booking requirements and protection rules. Use the actual package weights where required. A furniture dimension record cannot establish a lift's capacity or grant permission to use it.

The curved Nappa sofa needs component evidence before an apartment order

The Burgundy and White Nappa Leather Curved Sofa is listed at 320 × 180 × 85 cm. Its maximum external dimensions are important for the room, but the curve makes it particularly unwise to invent a transport shape from a rectangle or a perspective photograph.

Ask for the actual transport pieces and their relevant outlines. If a curved section is indivisible, that shape must be considered in the route review. If separate components are offered, identify the approved separation and assembly method. The description “curved sofa” does not establish either condition.

An apartment buyer should settle this before choosing between the curved design and the linen sectional. The decision may depend less on the assembled width than on the largest piece that must negotiate the lift lobby. Choosing a smaller overall sofa without comparing its transport pieces could leave the same access problem unresolved.

Decide where packaging will be opened

The packaging condition may change along the delivery route. A piece could arrive in an outer crate or other protection, then be handled differently after an agreed unpacking stage. That arrangement must be confirmed for the order and destination; the presence of workshop packing photographs does not establish what every sofa receives.

Identify a suitable unpacking area if one is needed, with permission, working space and a way to keep the furniture protected afterward. Do not assume a building lobby can become a packing area. The receiving team should also understand who handles the packaging and what happens to it after the sofa is placed.

Keep the linen sofa's side-storage element in the access review

The Off-white Linen Fabric Modular Sofa with Side Storage Table has a listed overall size of 280 × 160 × 75 cm. Its integrated side element deserves specific attention because it may change the shape and vulnerability of the piece being handled.

Confirm whether that element is transported as part of a sofa section or separately. If it remains attached, include its full projection in the relevant dimensions. If separation is permitted, identify the protected component and the intended assembly method. Do not assume the side surface is a safe lifting point.

For a mixed furnishing delivery, keep this sofa's component references distinct from the tables and cabinets arriving at the same time. A general label such as “living room furniture” does not tell the receiving team which package contains a side element needed to complete the sofa.

Give the receiving contractor a route record they can use

A useful record connects each difficult part of the route to the piece that must pass through it. Include clear photographs and dimensions, then let the responsible handling team review any unresolved manoeuvre. An online estimate based on one opening should not be presented as a delivery guarantee.

Route locationInformation to retainFurniture detail to compare
Entrance and first turnClear opening, opposite wall and turning spaceConfirmed transport-piece dimensions and permitted orientation
Lift and lobbyEntrance, cabin, approach and exit spaceExternal package size, weight and handling arrangement
Stair and landingWidth, headroom, turn and fixed obstructionsLargest indivisible component and its actual shape
Final room entranceOpening and space to turn toward the final positionProtected furniture size after the agreed unpacking stage

Keep units consistent. If building measurements arrive in millimetres and sofa information is supplied in centimetres, convert them explicitly and retain the original figures. A number without its unit is a preventable source of error, especially when designers, suppliers and receiving teams work in different countries.

For the 300 cm tufted arrangement, the record should identify the relevant modules. For the curved Nappa option, it should retain the actual curved transport outline where necessary. For the side-storage linen design, it should show the attached or separate side element. Those differences are why one generic “sofa delivery size” field is insufficient.

The furniture specification sheet guide explains how to distinguish listed dimensions from measurements awaiting confirmation. Use HEZEN CASA's furnishing service to obtain the product information needed for the destination review, and have the receiving team resolve the physical route.

If the largest piece cannot be confidently accommodated, reconsider the offered configuration while changes are still possible. The right sofa order is one that suits the room and has a confirmed, workable path into it. Delivery day should be the execution of that plan, not the first time anyone tests the difficult turn.
